And so a choice was made and they come out of the deep hurt and tired, but alive. The selfish route, it was said. Is it selfish to want to survive? Perhaps it is, when it is done at the cost of others. Perhaps not when it was the deal that was struck. There will be consequences for their choices, no matter the route they’ve chosen. The world they’re dealing with is different than the one they come from, with power play that are less overt than what they are used to.
